Starting at just $15,900, the 2016 Kia Soul boasts a standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 130 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque. Earning up to an EPA-estimated 24 city/31 hwy mpg, it remains one of the most efficient models on the road. Easily recognizable thanks to the dancing hamsters, the Kia Soul is back for another year and ready to roll.
For the 2016 model year, the Kia Soul boasts the same exterior design as the previous year. The box-like frame provides ample interior space, allowing passengers and cargo easy access. Like the exterior, the Soul boasts the same interior design as well. The Soul comes in three available trims: base, Plus, and Exclaim.
The base model sees new alloy wheels as well as the addition of an optional Convenience Package. That add-on package includes a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, rearview camera, and a subscription to SiriusXM.
The Plus trim adds a standard rearview camera as well as gloss black accents on the bumper. The optional Designer Collection makes the Soul’s style more noticeable on the road. In all, that package adds a two-toned color combination, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
At the top of the line is the Exclaim trim which adds standard leather seats to the features list. The optional Premium Package adds a variety of safety technologies, including lane-departure warning and forward-collision warning. Navigation, an upgraded Infinity surround system, and a heated steering wheel join the list as well.
