Power
Under the hood of the 2023 Kia Forte LX, LXS, and GT-Line models is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. With its Intelligent Variable Transmission, this engine gets up to 31 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway (LX trim).2
The Forte GT models take things a bit further with power thanks to the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that they are equipped with. This pushes out an exhilarating 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. You have the option of a seven-speed Dual-Clutch Auto Transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters on the GT or a six-speed manual transmission on the GT Manual. These two models also come with a sport-tuned dual exhaust that shows off its prowess and makes a statement everywhere you go.
