2023 Kia Soul Overview | Evansville, IN
One of the most unique SUVs on the market today is, and has been, the 2023 Kia Soul. For 2023, the Soul has undergone a handful of minor enhancements to make it even better than before. From new exterior color options to more standard tech, you’ll quickly understand why the Kia Soul is so popular.
The 2023 Kia Soul is available at four trim levels: LX, S, GT-Line, and EX.
The Soul is incredibly unique, thanks to its boxy shape and iconic style. For 2023, the Soul receives two new color options. The Soul S offers Clear White and Surf Blue with a Fusion Black roof, giving the SUV a two-tone appearance. The GT-Line model also offers the sporty Surf Blue. Other exciting color options across the entire lineup include Inferno Red, Gravity Gray, and Steel Gray.
On the GT-Line model, you’ll find exclusive exterior features like a Gloss Black front grille with a chrome finish, Gloss Black power-adjustable side mirrors, and 18-inch Sport Alloy wheels. You also have the option of adding LED headlights, fog lights, and taillights on this trim. If you want the utmost convenience, the Soul EX comes with standard heated side mirrors.
Under the hood of all 2023 Kia Soul models is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission, you can expect to get up to 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The Soul LX, S, and GT-Line models get an impressive 28 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. However, the top Soul EX trim goes even further with up to 29 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. When behind the wheel, you’ll also have the option to choose between various drive modes that maximize efficiency and driving dynamics.
The interior of the new Kia Soul is both comfortable and convenient. Depending on the trim level you choose, you can cover the seats in woven cloth (Black or two-tone Gray), SynTex and Cloth (Black or two-tone Black and White), or Tricot cloth (Black or two-tone Gray). A 10-way power driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar support is standard on the S model and above, as are other features like dual-zone automatic climate control and remote start. Available options include heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, and a Sport design steering wheel (GT-Line).
Inside, you’ll have up to 62.1 cubic feet of total cargo space behind the front seats, with the rear 60/40 seats folded down. With those rear seats up, you’ll still have a spacious 24.2 cubic feet available as well as the option of adding a dual level cargo board on the GT-Line and EX models.
New for 2023 in the Kia Soul is a large 10.25-inch touch-screen display on all models except the base LX trim, which still has an impressive 8-inch touch screen that works with AM/FM radio, HD radio, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™. Standard features also include Bluetooth® wireless technology, a six-speaker audio system, and a USB front data port. When you opt for the S model and above, you’ll get SiriusXM® satellite radio, two front USB charging ports, and a convenient wireless phone charger. Some of the most innovative available tech includes a 10-speaker Harman Kardon® premium audio system and multiple ambience speaker lights that pulse to the beat of your music.
Along with looking great and offering advanced tech to keep you entertained, the 2023 Kia Soul is also very safe. Right from the start, you’ll have a long list of driver-assist features equipped to help you navigate your busy life. Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Keeping Assist work like extra sets of eyes to watch out for hazards. Rear Occupant Alert lets you know when to check the back seat as you leave the Soul while Driver Attention Warning will notice if your alertness has dipped behind the wheel. As you move through the trims, you’ll also find helpful systems like Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, and more.
