Kia Warranty Program At Evansville Kia | Evansville, IN
Purchasing a new or certified pre-owned Kia comes with one of the best warranty programs in the auto industry. Take a look at what is covered.
Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program
Kia’s warranty program is made up of four separate warranties:
• 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty
• 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty
• 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty
• 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan
While other manufacturers also offer warranties that cover defects in workmanship or materials, the duration of that coverage is not as competitive as Kia’s. Most other brands limit their basic warranty to three years or 36,000 miles and their powertrain warranty to five years or 50,000 miles, at most.
Certified pre-owned warranty coverage
Kia warranties are transferable. If you buy a Kia CPO vehicle, you’ll benefit from any warranty coverage remaining from the original in-service date. Since Kia CPO vehicles must be less than four years old or have fewer than 60,000 miles on the odometer, they may still have more than half of that 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty left.
There are other perks to buying a Kia CPO vehicle, including a 1-year/12,000-mile Comprehensive Platinum Coverage that is also transferable and begins at the time of the CPO sale. You’ll also get and an extension of the 24/7 roadside assistance plan to 10 years and unlimited miles.
Other warranty perks
If you need warranty repairs, it’s likely because your vehicle is not performing as intended. Kia’s network of over 17,000 trusted roadside assistance providers is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist you with flat tires, dead batteries, and more — at no cost to you.
And if a warranty-covered part fails within 150 miles of your home and requires more than 24 hours to repair or replace, Kia will help cover rental car expenses, meals, and lodging.
