If you want an affordable yet stylish small SUV, turn to the 2023 Kia Seltos. This advanced crossover starts at just $23,340 and comes with a ton of innovative technologies, a sharp exterior, and powerful performance.[1]
The 2023 Kia Seltos is available at five trim levels: LX, S, EX, Nightfall Edition, and SX.
You’ll have your choice of two different powertrains on the 2023 Seltos, depending on the trim you go with. The standard is a 2.0-liter engine that’s paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission. With this setup, you can get up to 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.[2] The Seltos also comes with a standard Drive Mode Select system that lets you switch between Normal, Sport, and Eco modes for your ideal driving style. To confidently battle tough Indiana winter weather, consider the available Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive system that improves traction on various terrain.
For a bit more power behind the wheel of your new Kia Seltos, choose the Nightfall Edition or SX trims. These two models are equipped with a peppy 1.6-liter turbo engine and a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission for smooth shifting. Combined, this powertrain still gets an impressive 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.[2]
To keep you and your family safe on the road, the Kia Seltos is equipped with a handful of standard advanced driver-assist safety systems. These Kia Drive Wise safety systems include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection.
That’s not all, though! The base trim of the 2023 Seltos also comes with Driver Attention Warning that monitors your fatigue levels behind the wheel and will let you know that you need a break. Also standard is Rear Occupant Alert, which will remind you to check the back seat as you exit the vehicle.
In addition to the smart tech that keeps you safe, the Seltos also comes with plenty of infotainment technology that adds entertainment and convenience to every drive. The standard 8-inch touch-screen display system works with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® so you can use all of your favorite compatible smartphone apps on the go. You can also connect devices via Bluetooth® wireless tech and through the front console USB data port.
If you opt for the LX trim, just one up from the base trim, you’ll get the option to upgrade to a larger available 10.25-inch touch-screen display that comes with SiriusXM® satellite radio, Kia Connect, and navigation. Additional available technologies on the 2023 Seltos include a Bose® eight-speaker audio system, USB charging ports in both rows, and a wireless smartphone charger.
Along with all that tech, the interior of the Kia Seltos is versatile and comfortable. The five-passenger setup includes a rear 60/40 split-folding and reclining bench seat for easy cargo adjustments. When that rear seat is folded down, you’ll have 62.8 cubic feet of total cargo space to utilize. For reference, that’s more than competitors like the Honda HR-V and Chevy Trailblazer offer. There’s also a dual level cargo floor on the Seltos that lets you adjust the height of your cargo area.
In regard to comfort, you get to choose between woven cloth, a combination of cloth and SynTex synthetic leather, or full SynTex seats on the Seltos, depending on the trim level. The Seltos EX comes with a 10-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support as well as cozy heated front seats. You can also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob on the Seltos S trim.
Despite its small price, the 2023 Seltos goes big on style. The boldly designed SUV has sharp projector headlights in the front (available LED), power-adjustable side view mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels in a Dark Gray finish, and a sporty rear spoiler. The exterior can be painted in a gorgeous palette of available colors, including the bright Neptune Blue. You can also opt for a two-tone option that gives the Seltos a Clear White or Cherry Black roof.
