With two all-new vehicles, various makeovers, and countless small updates and improvements across the lineup, this may be the best time ever to buy a new Kia. Check out what’s new for the 2022 Kia lineup at Evansville Kia in Evansville, Indiana.
All-new Kia Carnival
The 2022 Kia Carnival is a multi-purpose vehicle that replaces the outgoing Sedona minivan. Featuring a V6 engine, 3,500 pounds of towing capability, and flexible second-row seating, it debuts in 2022 with major family-hauling credentials.
All-new Kia EV6
The 2022 Kia EV6 is the first Kia vehicle with a dedicated battery-electric powertrain. Its state-of-the-art, 800-volt electric architecture enables it to be recharged from 10 percent to 80 percent in only 18 minutes. Other highlights include a range of 300 miles and an augmented reality head-up display for tracking performance.
Kia Forte Refresh
Now three years into its third generation, the 2022 Kia Forte is getting a major refresh. The front and rear of the car have been restyled, the interior features a newly available 10.25-inch widescreen navigation display, and its suite of advanced safety technologies has been expanded.
Kia K5 premium enhancements
The 2022 Kia K5 (formerly the Optima) is only in its second model year since its fifth-generation launch, but Kia is already giving it a few upgrades aimed at enhancing its premium feel, such as a new upgrade package that adds a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and LED projection headlights.
Kia Seltos safety updates
For the 2022 model year, the 2022 Kia Seltos gets standard forward collision-avoidance assistance with pedestrian detection, driver attention warning, and high-beam assistance, among other safety features. It also gets a new Turbo Nightfall Edition AWD model with exclusive wheel designs.
Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid
One of the most notable changes for the 2022 Kia Sorento is the new Sorento PHEV version. It uses a 261-horsepower turbo-hybrid powertrain to get an EPA-estimated 79 MPGe average, 32 miles of all-electric range, and 460 miles of total range. And that’s with the most passenger room and second-row legroom of any plug-in hybrid SUV on the market.
Kia Soul updates
The 2022 Kia Soul is undoubtedly one of the most iconic cars on the road, and for 2022, the crossover is getting even more features like push-button start, a 10.25-inch navigation display that comes standard on the S, X-Line, and GT-Line, wireless smartphone charging, and upgrades to the advanced safety systems.
Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition
Like the Kia Seltos, the 2022 Kia Sportage is getting a new Nightfall Edition model that truly enhances its curb appeal. With menacing blacked-out exterior details and various interior luxuries like leatherette upholstery and 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, going dark has never looked so good.
Kia Stinger appearance
The 2022 Kia Stinger is the sportiest Kia you can buy. For the 2022 model year, it’s getting several enhancements to make it look the part, including new geometric wheel designs, new LED lighting, and a more robust quad-exhaust system. Additionally, a new Scorpion Special Edition has blacked-out wheels, a rear spoiler, and interior carbon fiber trim.
Kia Telluride enhancements
The bestselling 2022 Kia Telluride is getting even better in 2022 thanks to design tweaks and additional interior amenities. The Telluride LX and S get a standard 10.25-inch navigation display, automatic climate control, and Highway Driving Assist. All models also get a navigation-based smart cruise control system that can automatically adjust speed in anticipation of curves.
The 2021 Kia model lineup was already excellent, but the automaker didn’t rest on its laurels heading into the next year. Most of Kia’s 2022 lineup is improved in some way over the prior year, giving customers even more reasons to buy a Kia sedan, crossover, or SUV. Check out the full lineup at Evansville Kia.
